Edgar Brisbane

BRISBANE, Edgar Ebenezer, BCE(Melb) MAusIMM AMIEAust AMIMM (1902-1968)
Brisbane joined the Main Roads Board of Western Australia in 1928 under E Tindale (q.v.). He transferred to the Mines Department in 1931 as its Dust and Ventilation Officer under A. Montgomery (q.v.), and became a District Inspector of Mines in 1939. He was appointed Assistant State Mining Engineer under J S Foxall (q.v.) in 1945, and became the State Mining Engineer and Inspector of Machinery in 1952.
He retired in 1967.

- 'The practice of mine ventilation in WA' PAIMM 116, 1939, pp503 516; and
- 'The trend of mine ventilation practice' PAIMM 124, 1941, pp217 226.
